The Amherstburg Farmers Market is a welcoming, outdoor space offering a deliberate and diverse, hand-selected lineup of farmers, makers and creators. We exist to support incredible, local small businesses and present a community hub for our residents and visitors. Open rain or shine every Sunday, June 8 – Oct 26 from 12:30-4:30, this family-friendly & pet-friendly space also offers weekly live music, homemade food, fresh coffee, craft beer, learning experiences and smiles every week. The brewery, washroom and patio are open to enjoy!

Are pets welcome at the Amherstburg Farmers Market?

Absolutely! All pets on a leash are encouraged to bring their humans to the market. They will be sure to find fresh water bowls and even some natural pet treats! The GL Heritage Patio hosts all sorts of fur-friends, and there is a cool grass area for all to relax in.

Ohhh yessss! Each Sunday, we have fresh-made menu items starting at noon, offered by passionate local food vendors.

Heck yah! Our local musical scene is top notch and we're very proud to showcase live musical performances every Sunday from 1-4pm, all season long!

Does the Amherstburg Farmers Market run if it's raining?

Yes, we are a rain or shine market, so grab your umbrella and galoshes, and come out to shop our fresh, local offering. Stay for lunch or dinner and live music under the covered patio or inside the GL Heritage tasting room. The Amherstburg Farmers Market only shuts down if lightning or strong winds cause a safety concern for shoppers and vendors.
 

How long has the Amherstburg Farmers Market been running?

The Amherstburg Farmers Market has been running since 2010, starting out at the Little White Church for 8 years, 200m from the current location. The AFM tried a season at Toddy Jones Park in Amherstburg before finding a permanent and high-traffic space to resurrect their high-quality lineup at GL Heritage Brewery in 2020.
